Going Vintage with a Photowall Canvas

Photowall - Golden Age Travel Canvas

Interior design. Something that I’ve been wanting to get into for a long time. Our house currently looks like something from the 80s with its red carpets and dark wooden skirting. We’ve said that this year we want to completely redecorate the whole place and make it feel more homely. However this costs a lot of money, something we don’t have enough of. So in the meantime I’ve been trying to put up a couple of photos and a canvas on the walls to make it feel like this is our house and not just somewhere we live.

When Jennifer from Photowall slid into my inbox asking if I wanted to receive and review one of their canvases from their extensive range that’s available I jumped straight at the chance. I’d been looking at getting a nice canvas for our bedroom to make it feel more like a bedroom and not just a dumping ground or somewhere that we sleep.

Out of the huge range which they offer online I finally decided on the Golden Age Travel* canvas in 86cm x 86cm due to the vintage feel of it plus it includes pictures of places I’m desperate to visit. When it arrived it was securely packaged up in a long rectangle tube. It comes with everything you need to build up the canvas; instructions, screws, corner plates and the wooden frame sections. The instructions were super easy to follow and took me less than 20 minutes to create my canvas. Here are a few photos of me building it up:

I really enjoyed building this up, the instructions were clear with a step-by-step guide. When you have completed building it up there is a wall bracket which comes with it to help pop it onto the wall. The quality is amazing. When it came to folding the wooden frame parts over I got slightly scared in case I ripped the canvas in half but its super sturdy and made of some pretty strong material.

Here is the final result:

How bloody stunning is this canvas? I’ve completely fallen in love with it. It doesn’t feel too heavy for the wall in the slightest and just hangs beautifully. I’m in love with it so much I’m contemplating moving it from the bedroom and hang it proudly in our living room instead.

If you’re in the market for a new canvas for your home then I highly recommend checking out Photowall. They have a huge range available from animals, cities and even pop art. If you fancy something more personal then they can create a canvas with any photo that you love which I think is fantastic! That’s next on my list, get a lovely photo of me, James and the kids then get it popped on a canvas. Jennifer very kindly gave me a code to share with you all for 20% off! Just type in ‘HighlandBeautyCampaign2018‘ on checkout and enjoy the discount! (this code is only available until Wednesday 14th March 2018)

Anyone planning on redecorating their house this year?

Until next time,
