Urban Decay Naked Heat Eyeshadow Palette

I cannot believe I’m writing this, to be honest I cannot believe I managed to grab one in their flash sale which they had on Monday! I usually 1. Never have any money to buy the latest releases or 2. Always too slow, but sitting by my phone like a crazy person worked and I’m now the proud owner of the Naked Heat palette *does a happy dance*

About the Palette

Urban Decay Naked Heat Eyeshadow Palette

Naked Heat comes with 12 warm toned colours with a mixture of shimmers and mattes. Each shade is individually named and the names personally remind me of Spain/warm weather which is fantastic, considering the theme of the palette.

I’ve never owned an Urban Decay eyeshadow palette before and I have to say I am so far impressed with this one. I had a little play around with it a couple days ago and the pigmentation on the shimmers is amazing, the mattes blend beautifully on the eyelid and if you are new to eyeshadow this is at the top of my recommendation list.

The packaging is beautiful, the palette comes in a slide out case and the palette itself is absolutely stunning to look at. The packaging is this wonderful holographic design with the writing on the front standing out. When opening the case there’s a magnet on it so it closes with ease but makes opening it a lot quicker. It is quite heavy which i wasn’t expecting but I think thats more to do with the design on the front. It also has a large mirror on the inside.

The brush is super fluffy and usually brushes in palettes are just standard brushes but they have really upped their game with this! Picks up product well and applies it to the eyelids fantastically. I would suggest keeping this brush!

Swatches

Urban Decay Naked Heat Eyeshadow Palette

As you can see the colours are absolutely gorgeous! The shimmers are more pigmented than the mattes but the mattes glide on beautifully.

Ounce – ivory shimmer, perfect for highlight (shimmer)

Chaser – light nude (matte)

Sauced – medium orange/brown (matte)

Low Blow – medium brown (matte)

Lumbre – medium coral red (shimmer)

He Devil – reddish brown (matte)

Dirty Talk – muted copper brown (shimmer)

Scorched – dark brown with a red tint (shimmer)

Cayenne – dark brown (matte)

En Fuego – dark brown with red/purple tints (matte)

Ashes – purple with red tint (matte)

Ember – dark bronze with plum tints (shimmer)

You get a good variety of shimmers and mattes, some colours do look very similar when swatched though which is quite disappointing but its still a fantastic palette.

Overall

I really do love this palette. Even with some of the shades being quite similar you could create so many looks with it, whether it be a smokey eye, cut crease or just a simple eye look. I’ll be keeping this palette for a long time and hoping to experience more over the next couple of weeks.
