I feel I might be late to the party with trying out the All Nighter Foundation, its been on my wish list for ages but I could never justify the price tag. However during a moment of madness (and possibly too many glasses of wine) this fell into my online basket and landed on my doorstep a couple of days later.
If you haven’t heard of this foundation before it comes in 24 shades. The packaging is lovely, a silver design with a window to see how much product you have left in the bottle. It has a pump system which is great, I usually use 2 pumps to cover the whole of my face however 1 pump gives me a medium coverage. To get full coverage first time I do suggest using a foundation brush however using a damp beauty blender gives a more smooth finish in my personal opinion.
I picked up shade 0.5 which is the lightest shade they offer. Its just slightly too dark for my pale face when applied however once I’ve done all my concealing, bronzing, contouring and highlighting I found this wasn’t much of a problem. It didn’t oxidise during the day which I know a lot of people have had problems with and it leaves a lovely matte finish. I have dry skin and it works well for my skin type even though this foundation is more designed for people with oily skin.
I love the coverage it gives and the wear time even without a setting spray is amazing. However does it really have to sink into every single frown line on my face?! Within 2 hours the lines around my mouth, my nose and on my forehead looked deeper almost. I used the same primer I always do so nothing had changed, I even tested it with a couple of other primers I own and it did exactly the same. Such a shame as I loved everything else about this foundation.
Have you tried the All Nighter Foundation at all? What are your thoughts?
Until next time,
