When it comes to makeup, you really don’t have to drop a load of your money on expensive products. That cheap makeup lurking in your local drugstore work just as well for a fraction of the price. I know I can splash my cash on high end all the time so I’m always looking for those affordable pieces which wow me. I recently had a look through my makeup drawers and managed to pick out my top 5 makeup products under £10 which I think are the absolute bee’s knees. Plus they are super affordable on the old purse strings as well. So if you’re still feeling the pinch from Christmas (I know I am!) but fancy treating yourself to a couple of new makeup products then you’ve stumbled across the right page!
Top Makeup Products £10 and Under
Here I am again, raving about this bloody foundation. I’ve literally featured it so many times before you’re probably sick of seeing it all over my blog. But it had to get a cheeky mention again. The CYO Lifeproof Foundation completely changed the foundation game for me and I’m so thankful I discovered it. It’s super affordable at only £7.50 and when it comes to application, you only need to squirt out 1 and a half pumps to get enough for the face. It has a dewy finish which is perfect for my dry skin, maybe too dewy sometimes depending on how much I’ve used for coverage but a tiny bit of powder fixes it up.
This is by far my favourite blush on this entire planet. Because my face absolutely hates me, some blushes just don’t sit right on my skin. I’m 100% sure it’s down to my dry skin which is mainly on my nose and around the cheek area. But this just sits perfectly. Not only does it give my cheeks just that pop of colour, but it also gives them a nice healthy glow too. Something my skin lacks now due to daily stress. I’ve owned this particular one since around August time and it literally looks like I’ve not even made a dent in the pan. You get a lot of product for your buck and even a small mirror under the pan too! Always handy to have a cheeky mirror in a product.
Is it really a top 5 if I don’t feature something Soap & Glory in it? They are one of my favourite brands out there and it’s easy to understand why. I’m still struggling to understand why it took me so long to discover them but I’m super happy I did. But one of my favourite makeup products from them which I’ve been using a lot recently is this particular lipstick. Now, I’ve never usually been a bullet lipstick sort of gal, I tend to gravitate towards matte liquid lipsticks more. But this lipstick just ticks all the boxes for me. Not only does it plump up my lips ever so slightly to make them look fuller, but it’s also just the perfect nude shade for my skin tone (and no, I didn’t match it up to my nipple!). Even though it’s not transfer proof (which is why I tend to go for liquid lipsticks), it lasts a considerable amount of time and doesn’t bleed around the lips. It’s been my go-to for the past couple of months for them more natural makeup days.
They have a wide range of shades available throughout their Sexy Mother Pucker range and I definitely want to explore them more.
I’ve always had a love/hate relationship with my brows throughout the years. They are full and pretty bushy which I love, but they are so fair they look non-existent when I have no product on them. Especially when I have foundation on, they look completely washed out. Now I’ve never been the best at brows and feel like it’s my downfall when it comes to my makeup game which is why I need a product which is super easy to use. And I’m so glad I found this brow pencil out when I tested out Wet n Wild makeup back in October. To me, this is a dupe for the Benefit Goof Proof brow pencil. Same triangular pencil shape with a spoolie at the other end. But for the cheap price point its absolutely amazing. It fills in the gaps beautifully and doesn’t brush away when you run the spoolie brush through it. It stays put and the pencil itself is a lovely consistency. Also, it gives me natural looking eyebrows, which is obviously the most important thing I’m looking for.
If you love a good highlighter like me then you definitely need to get your hands on this palette. I always love to have that wet look highlighter without using a liquid highlighter and this just seals the deal. When it comes to using this palette, however, I’ve only ever used the 2 shades on the right-hand side. Mixing them both together and applying it on the areas I wanna glow from. It just looks absolutely stunning on the skin. You can apply a thin layer and give yourself just that subtle glow, or you can go all out and be seen from out of space. A must for any highlighter addict out there, plus 4 shades of highlighter for under £10 is an absolute winner!
