If there’s one concealer you need in your life, make it this one. With its high coverage and light consistency its an absolute essential in my make up bag. I’ve featured this product quite a few times on a couple of posts like my July Favourites and my Daily Make Up Routine and I simply cannot get enough of it!
So the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer shade that I’ve been using is Fair and its the perfect shade for my skin as I’m super pale. It comes in 14 different shades so there’s something suitable for everyone however I do wish more shades were introduced, maybe they’ll come in time, here’s hoping!
You get a lot of product for your money, its a thick tube which holds 10ml of concealer and a little goes a long way. It has a doe foot applicator and a huge one at that! You only need a couple of small daps of this under the eyes then blend it out with a beauty blender and it covers dark circles and imperfections effortlessly.
When this dries down its completely matte without that dry feeling under the eyes, with a bit of powder over the top it doesn’t crease or crack, its honestly been an absolute life saver for me because due to the nature of my job my dark circles are horrendous! You don’t even have to apply this under the eyes, it can be used on spots and can also be used to brighten up the skin so I also apply this to my chin, the bridge of my nose and my forehead.
A couple of great things about this concealer is you can use the darker shades as a contour which I haven’t personally done yet but heard so many people doing it, also the whole brand Tarte is vegan and cruelty free! I’ve been trying to change the way I buy make up and only buy cruelty free products, I’m hoping one day I can completely succeed with this! Its also powered by Shea Butter, Mango Seed Butter and Licorice Root Extract which gives this concealer a lovely smell, nothing too overpowering.
No wonder this is a huge hit with most beauty experts and has 5 star reviews!
This retails for £28 on the QVC website and it also comes with a quickie blending sponge or you can get it directly from the Tarte website for £21 however it doesn’t come with the blending sponge and you have to pay shipping and customs on top, so if you were to buy from Tarte direct then I would advise putting in a big order with them on international free shipping days, customs are calculated on checkout.
