Soap and Glory is pretty much a brand I only discovered this year, all thanks to a huge Boots sale back in January. It was all mainly body products I picked up and did a post regarding my top 5 items I was totally obsessing with (which you can read here). Even though I had tried the body products, I never tried the makeup. Well, I’ve used the eyeliner but haven’t properly explored the makeup side of this brand. Until I became a part of their #BABESOFGLORY (was a proper ‘pinch me’ moment!) and received this lovely parcel containing a couple of Soap and Glory makeup must haves. I was so excited to dive right into the bag I ended up going out and buying a couple more of their makeup bits due to the quality and affordability. So let’s have a look at the must haves you need to add to your makeup bag!
Soap and Glory Makeup Must Haves!
Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Extreme Plumping Gloss*
I was super excited to see this in the bag as I’d heard such good review regarding this lip plumper. To be cursed with a thin upper lip is a nightmare. I have thought about lip fillers but me and needles … just no. So to find a lip plumper that actually works and doesn’t sting my poor lips, yes please! The Sexy Mother Pucker Extreme Plumping Gloss comes in a squeezy tube with a screw off lid. The consistency of the plumping is lovely, it just glides straight onto the lips and doesn’t leave that gloopy feeling behind. You can feel this tingling almost instantly. I panicked to start off with thinking my lips were going to fall off. But crisis avoided once I realised thats what its meant to do. For a temporary fix this is the perfect product if you fancy your lips to look slightly fuller.
Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lipstick in Matte Super Nude*
My favourite colours of lipstick are nudes so to see this gorgeous shade in the bag, I squealed. You can pair a good nude lipstick with almost any makeup look, from dramatic to natural. I love a good lipstick and this is no exception. The formula of the Sexy Mother Pucker Lipstick is creamy, moisturising and pigmented. It glides onto the lips super easy and evenly, leaving no streaks. It isn’t transfer proof but layering up the lipstick is no issue. When you see the colour fading, just whip this out and apply again. The only issue I have with this lipstick is its not matte enough. It leaves a slight satin finish to the lips but this is just me being personal.
Soap & Glory Archery D-I-Y Brow Bar*
I’ve been getting right into my brows lately but found pencils and powders work better for me. I find these give me a more natural looking brow as I don’t suit the blocky eyebrow. So I was excited to test out a new brow product, different to my Benefit Gimme Brow. Within the Archery D-I-Y Brow Bar you get 4 different options. 2 different coloured brow powders, a clearfix wax to keep the powder in place and a highlighter to highlight that brow bone. You also get 2 brushes and a spoolie to keep those brow hairs in check. One added extra to this product is you get a mirror as well. Perfect to get that close up of your brow. It’s a proper good product if you like this sort of thing, it really does help fill and define your eyebrows. The brushes are on the small side however somewhat easy to work with.
Soap & Glory Supercat Liquid Eyeliner*
I’m already a huge fan of this eyeliner and now I have a back up! I loved it so much it appeared in my Soap & Glory Favourites. The Supercat Liquid Eyeliner is one of the best eyeliners I’ve ever used. The brush is flexible and perfect to create that striking wing. The tip is precise and really does help to line your upper eyelid. The liner itself dries down opaque and stays put throughout the day. No smudging around the eyes and doesn’t run down the face. It’s been an absolute staple in my makeup bag for months. Highly recommend it to anyone who is in the market for an affordable liquid eyeliner.
