This year is seriously flying by so fast. It seems everytime I blink a new day happens, next I’ll know it’ll be the big C word (too early to mention it YET!) and pretty much the new year. I love autumn though, its all about the warm-toned eyeshadow palettes and berry lips … Cannot wait! But it’s a new month and a new bunch of monthly favourites. Thankfully this month its all drugstore makeup. Cheap, affordable products with are purse friendly! So take a look through my September favourites and hopefully we’ll share a love for the same products.
September Favourites 2018
Since this little beauty was released I’ve been wanting to try it out. I even made my sister buy it a fair few months ago as I’d heard so many people rave about this mascara. Yet I never did try it out myself, until I made a cheeky order with Superdrug about a month ago. I finally decided to give in to the hype and I definitely wasn’t disappointed. I love big lashes and this mascara gives me just that. I’m pretty sure this is a dupe for the Better Than Sex mascara so I definitely need to do a comparison. But for now, this is all I’ve been wearing recently.
I promise this isn’t going to turn into ‘September Favourites featuring everything L’Oreal‘, but I had to include this as well. This is more of a rediscovery for me. I’ve had this in my collection for months now. But since more primers entered my makeup collection, this kind of got thrown to the back of the pile. But I had a huge clear out and found this lurking in the background and forgot just how good it is! Even though it’s a mattifying primer, it seems to work perfectly on my dry skin. My foundation goes on a lot better since reusing this. My imperfections aren’t as noticeable through foundation when I use this primer as well, something I’m always so self-conscious about. It has a tacky feeling when dried down yet not greasy.
A fantastic primer and really happy I rediscovered it. This will probably feature in a product empties post soon as I’m coming to the end of this tube now!
If you’re looking for a new blush in your life, then get your hands on one of the baked blushes from Milani. These baked blushes from Milani have a pop of shimmer in them to give the cheeks a bit of sparkle. Now I do love a bit of sparkle! I have the shade Dolce Pink and its such a gorgeous shade. The perfect pink in my opinion. My face always looks dull and drained but this just makes my cheeks glow and doesn’t make me look like I’ve had 0 hours sleep.
CYO is slowly becoming one of my favourite drugstore makeup brands. I fell in love with their foundation so I had to explore the makeup brand more. That’s when I next discovered the contour stick. When it comes to contour I tend to stick more to powders so I was a bit sceptical at first. But the texture of the contour shade is so creamy and easily blendable, giving me that chiselled look. I have officially been converted. I haven’t tried the concealer shade yet as I have my favourites. So I’m hoping maybe CYO release the contour stick just on its own maybe? Hopefully, as I’ll be picking up 10!
