I’ve heard a lot of hype surrounding Primark stick on nails, most people saying they are fantastic while others just cannot get on with them, so one day when I was browsing around Primark I decided to pick up a couple of packs of the Primark Nails and put them to the test. As I don’t tend to paint my nails often and I bite my nails and the skin around them excessively I’m currently in the market for a short term solution to help me kick these habits!
One thing I’ll say is I cannot afford acrylic nails, I remember I got them done once and I absolutely loved them however they can get a bit pricey where I live which is such a shame. So being able to find false nails for £1.00 a pack is a huge bonus for a cheap girl like me.
So I picked up 3 packets of Primark Nails in 2 different styles, pointy and squareletto, I’m usually a pointy kinda gal but the colour of the squareletto ones looks absolutely beautiful and I couldn’t find this shade in the pointy ones so I decided to pop these in my basket as well. In each pack you get 24 nails in 9 different sizes and in the squareletto pack each nail has a dedicated number on them so you can match the size for the other hand, these numbers are quite small and I did have to basically put the nail in my eye to see them. However the pointy ones I’ve picked up didn’t have numbers on them at all, not sure if this is the same on all packets.
So the set I decided to try were the Red Velvet Squareletto ones, obviously for the gorgeous colour. This is such a beautiful autumn/Christmas shade and I’ve literally fallen in love with the colour, I need to find a nail varnish colour of this shade! After matching each nail with my nail size I started applying them and instantly I noticed how easily these were to apply. You have a little tube of nail glue and its so easy to spread the glue across the nail evenly. Once covered you then pop the nail on and hold in place until you feel the glue is dry.
The wear time on these were quite surprising. This set lasted me about 3 days before one pinged off and had to be reapplied but there’s plenty of glue to do so. For £1.00 I think that’s rather fantastic!
These are perfect if you like the idea of long nails on a short term basis without the cost of acrylics. They have such a variety of colours, shades and finishes, I’m pretty sure I even seen a set of holographic nails as well! So these Primark Nails are worth picking up if you’re planning a trip to Primark soon.
Tried these nails at all? What are your thoughts?
Until next time,
