I’ve really slacked on my skincare recently. I seem to go through spells where I stick to it for weeks on end, then just stop and let my skin become dreadful. And that’s exactly what happened this time… again. My skincare routine has been thrown backwards and my skin is feeling it. So I’ve been trying to change it up a bit and experiment with some new skincare products which I’ve had stashed away. Here are the current new skincare products I have on trial throughout April and let me tell you, they are pretty exciting!
New Skincare on Trial throughout April & May
Remember months ago these peel off masks were all everyone could talk about? Yep, those ones that literally hurt to pull them off. People even went as far as putting it all over their body and pulled it off in some ridiculous challenge. Well NYK1 have made their own and I was super excited to see this land on my doorstep. When these masks were all the range I never got round to grabbing one myself. Because I used to have sensitive skin I feared them. But now it’s not too bad I’ve finally decided to bite the bullet.
First impressions – it’s a thick consistency and feels nice on the skin. Dries down within the time limit it says on the back which is great. But my god it hurts to peel off! Can understand what the fuss was all about now. I’ve only used this once so far and plan on using it over the next couple of weeks for a proper review. But first impressions are good and I’ve got high hopes for this, just need to stop being such a wimp when it comes to peeling it off.
I received this cleansing milk back before Christmas in the Bubble Act Gift Set* and I’m finally giving it a try. I’ve heard so many good things about Soap & Glory cleansers so I’ve been excited to try this out. I’ve been wanting to introduce it for so long but I’ve had so many different cleansers I wanted to finish them up first before trying out a new one. How I’ve been using this is like a second cleanser due to the milky texture.
First impressions – it smells amazing and has a strong scent of peach flowing straight through it. I’ve been using this after my Acne Cleanser from Mario Badescu and its at the moment its a fab job of removing any makeup left behind and calming down the skin. It hasn’t irritated the skin at all which is a huge positive and I’m really enjoying using this.
I’m not getting any younger and recently I’ve noticed a change in my skin. I’m starting to get wrinkles on my forehead (only small but I can see them poking through) and its starting to sag. So I need to start using anti-ageing products and I’m started with this. I need to do more research into what anti-ageing products are the best so if you do have any recommendations then please fire them my way. The only reason why I’m trying this out is the fact my Granny had around 10 of these sitting on her dresser and she swore by it. So if it’s good enough for her then it’s good enough for me!
First impressions – it’s nice so far, leaves my skin feeling soft and looking radiant. But I haven’t noticed any dramatic changes so far. And I won’t, as products like this you need to use continuously to notice a difference. I’ve been using this morning and night for around a week now and hoping to do an update in around a months time.
