I’ve never been a fan of painting my nails, I’ve always found the drying time on most of them to be time consuming and to be honest its time I didn’t have, one slight movement and the whole nails ruined!
But when I seen these on the Nails Inc website they intrigued me, mainly regarding the magnetic side of things, something about magnets excites me way too much!
These had been sitting in my nail varnish bag for a while but a couple of weeks ago I decided to give these a try and I’m not going to lie, I was pretty shook at how well these worked!
So anyways, these are the Nails Inc Magnetic Nail Polishes and how they work is there’s a magnet on the lid and you use it to draw up a pattern on the nail, sounds pretty cool huh?!
The colours that I picked up were (from left to right):
Houses of Parliament
I’m feeling a London vibe here …
The instructions indicates to apply 1 layer onto all nails, leave to dry for 2-3 minutes then apply another thick layer, only doing 1 nail at a time, and immediately hover the magnet from the lid over the nail making sure you don’t touch the polish, take it away after a few seconds and you’ll be left with a stunning looking nail!… it sounds like a faff but honestly its pretty simple, it did take me a while to get the hang of it but it leaves such a pretty design!
They have a couple of pattern designs which are the basic magnetic effect, the fishnet effect and the star effect.
As for how long they last if you apply a decent top coat you could make these nail varnishes last for days! But for the purpose of a review I decided to leave out the top coat and just leave the nails as they are. I didn’t notice any chipping until day 3, once 1 nail chips the rest of the nails seem to follow suit! So honestly if you need your varnish to last at least a week I would advise applying a top coat to not only help with keeping the varnish in place but to also give them a glossier look.
My favourite colour at the moment out of them all is Kensington Palace (which is featured in my September Favourites), its a beautiful raspberry red colour, perfect shade for autumn for me!
These can be purchased from the Look Fantastic website >> here <<, they are no longer available on the Nails Inc website but at least Look Fantastic are stocking them! They have a couple of colours available and I would highly recommend these if you want to try something different compared to your basic block colour.
Got any of these Nails Inc nail polishes in your collection?
Until next time,
