Dry shampoo is pretty much a staple in my day to day life. If you’ve read any previous blog posts (like the Summer Essentials post) you know I don’t wash my hair everyday. Even though I should as my hair gets greasy pretty quickly. But when I do wash it everyday it becomes dry and unmanageable. Which is why I’ve always got a bottle of dry shampoo somewhere in the house. Now the main brand I use is Batiste because its super affordable and does the job. But recently, Influenster sent me over a bottle of the Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo* and I couldn’t be more excited. Always up for trying myself some new hair products, especially something that I cannot live without.
Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo
Living Proof is a brand I’ve never heard of before, but after doing a bit of research regarding the brand it appears its quite popular. They stock the brand over on places like Cult Beauty and M&S. Now it is on the higher end of the price scale, this small bottle of Living Proof Dry Shampoo (92ml) costs around £14.00 whilst the full size bottles (198ml) retail for £23.00. The smaller bottle is perfect if you’re travelling or out and about though due to the size.
The packaging makes this brand look proper professional. The simple grey colouring with simple text, it describes what it does and aims to do effectively and without the thrills. Unlike some dry shampoos out there, this claims to do the full works. It removes oils, sweat and odor whilst removing the dirt from your hair at the same time. Big claims from a tiny bottle so I was curious if it would do the job I expected.
To put it bluntly, I LOVE IT! My hair has never felt cleaner, even after not washing it for 2/3 days. One thing I was worried about was the dry shampoo leaving a white reside most leave behind, especially on black clothing. There was a tiny amount, but nothing drastic to say I’ve been sitting in the snow for hours. What I do is a spray a little bit all over the hair, leave it sit for around 2/3 minutes then massage into the scalp. It leaves my hair looking fresh as the day I’ve washed it. If a little bit of spray is still left in the hair it can easily be removed by running a brush through it. It also smells amazing, I can’t quite describe it though. Its a light scent though that isn’t overpowering.
After using the Living Proof Dry Shampoo I definitely want to explore this brand more. Try out some of their other hair care products like the shampoo, conditioner and hairspray.
