Colourpop Lippie Haul

Colourpop Nude Liquid Lipstick Haul

Colourpop is a brand I have been wanting to try for ages, I’ve heard so many good reviews on their lippies that when I had the chance to buy a couple from my sister I couldn’t resist. Its pretty much impossible to get Colourpop in the UK unless you order direct from their website and pay the cost of customs which no one really want to do, unlike some American make up websites they don’t add custom prices onto your total price. Colourpop if you are reading this please come to the UK!

I managed to get my hands on 3 Ultra Satin Lip lippies and 2 Ultra Matte Lip lippies all of them being nude shades. Gotta love a nude shade! The box packaging is simple with holographic writing which makes it stand out. I tend not to keep the boxes from products but with these they seem to have a colour code; red for the mattes and a yellowy green for the satin ones.

The applicator is the classic doe foot and I love this for applying the colour to the lips, I have such weirdly shaped lips and anything other than a doe foot helps me make an absolute mess not a lovely lip finish. So the 5 shades I bought were:

Ultra Satin Lip
Littlestitious – a lovely dusty pinky purple.

Calypso – a mid toned pink.
Alyssa – a muted pink.

Ultra Matte Lip
Bianca – a soft mauve.
Midi – a pale dusty pink.

Obviously I had to do a wear test on each of the kinds of lippies. The satin colours glide on beautifully on the lips, all 3 colours went on completely opaque and the colours were just amazing, didn’t feel drying on the lips at all. However there was a transfer issue, I tend to like my lipsticks to have amazing staying power and not transfer onto a mug or a glass, but I still absolutely love these so this issue was quickly swept aside. The matte lippies … well what can I say?! Amazing staying power, both dried completely opaque and lasted hours. I think I may of found my new favourite liquid lipstick!

I think I’m going to have to order more things from Colourpop, all I’ve seen over social media is positive reviews, their eyeshadows and their lippie stix are definitely on my wish list for the big C word!

Have you tried anything from Colourpop yet? If so what products have you tried? Let me know in the comments below.

You read my mind! I’ve literally been looking at buying some Colourpop lippies this afternoon!

Do you have any pics with Bianca on?

I’ve ordered calypso, and that’s one I’m most excited to try as apparently it looks lovely on medium skin. Although, I must say, I love all of your picks! I ordered two lippie stix too, I think one of them was in brink, hopefully they’re not drying as I went for more of the satin formulas with my dry lips x

I’m not a fan of ColourPop lip creams. I have heard good things about the Satin ones though, and that’s the kind I haven’t tried yet. I tried multiple shades of the matte, and I also just got an Ultra Glossy one in my ipsy bag this month. The Glossy lip gloss I just thought was too sticky. The matte creams I was highly disappointed in because they dry darker than how they appear in the tube, and I was going for more nude shades and less dark shades, so I was disappointed at how dark they dried. In fact, Bianca is one of the shades I have, and mine looks darker than the swatch you have here in the photo. I’m not sure if it’s just the brightness of the photo or not. Either way, the colors in your swatches are the exact kinds of shades I love to wear, so if my matte lip creams actually dried on my lips those colors (like the tubes appeared), I would be more satisfied.
