My eyeshadow palette collection is growing at a rapid rate, especially palettes from Tam Beauty. With brands like Makeup Revolution and I Heart Makeup stepping up their game on colour varieties and the quality, its hard not to resist! So when they came out with the Chocolate Elixir Eyeshadow Palette with all the warm tones I absolutely adore I had to own it. Even though I own a million warm toned eyeshadow palettes what’s the harm in adding another one?!
First of all I want to talk about the packaging, how beautiful is the 3D effect rose gold melting chocolate on the brown background?! Absolutely stunning and that’s one thing that stood out to me before making this purchase. The palette is sturdy with the click lock to make sure that when you close it there’s no chance of it opening randomly. Once opened you’re met with a fairly large mirror which I love included in palettes as it gives me the option to look closely when applying my eyeshadow instead of using a dressing tables mirror. Another thing I noticed when opening up the palette is I was met with a wonderful chocolate smell! One of my favourite smells in the whole world.
So the Chocolate Elixir Palette is filled with beautiful browns, reds and neutral shades to create a stunning eye look. This palette contains a mixture of matte shades and shimmer shades however this is a palette more based on the mattes. The pigmentation is fantastic and stays consistent throughout every colour and any brush I’ve used so far has picked up the matte shades well. Each matte colour blends out effortlessly when you apply however I did find that with the shimmer shades its better to use your fingertip to apply to your eye to get a bigger colour payoff.
Here are swatches of every colour in the palette.
Just look at the swatches and decide for yourself on the pigmentation, it clearly is fab! I’m thoroughly impressed with this palette and its one I will be using for a long time. Now that I’ve finally tried out an I Heart eyeshadow palette I want them all now! I’m really happy with the design of the cover, the colour choice, everything really!
One thing I noticed is this is a pretty good dupe for the Anastasia Beverley Hills Modern Renaissance palette in my personal opinion. I did have the ABH MR palette however I sold it because there was a fair amount of fall out however I noticed with the Chocolate Elixir one there’s only a small amount so I went for practicality and price as Chocolate Elixir retails for the affordable price of £8.99!
Have you tried any I Heart Makeup eyeshadow palettes yet?
Until next time,
