Whenever I think about buying something high end, I always try to find a sample somewhere first. To some people, high end makeup is just something they use everyday. But for a broke ass mother like me, it’s something I don’t want to spend money on for it to become a complete waste. For the past 6 months or so I’ve been signed up to a magazine subscription which send me Benefit samples every couple of months to try out. Now there has been some misses, but these 2 particular products have wowed me and once the samples are complete, I’ll be heading out to buy the full size version.
Benefit Sample Goof Proof Brow Pencil
I’m absolutely useless at my eyebrows most of the time, but this brow pencil is literally the best thing since sliced bread! I’ve been constantly using the BDB ‘A Hint of Tint’ brow gel for the longest time but the brush is quite big. So I’ve been trying to expand my eyebrow products and pencils are definitely my thing. The Goof Proof brow pencil helps me fill in the gaps of my eyebrows whilst leaving them looking natural. Blocky eyebrows just seem to look ridiculous on me so things like brow pomades are out of the question. Whilst the sample doesn’t have a brow brush on it, this sample size has still won me over.
Available from the Benefit website for £20.50.
Benefit Sample ‘They’re Real’ Mascara
I’m really loving this mascara for 2 different reasons: the fact it gives me the illusion of false lashes and the spikey ball at the end of the brush. I’ve always been a sucker for huge lashes but me and falsies haven’t been friends in the past. So tend to stay away from them and find mascaras which can give me that effect. This does exactly that. The spikey ball at the end help me to grab them tiny lashes which hide in the corners of my eyes and to do my lower lashes as well. There hasn’t been any transfer onto my eyelid or under my eye into my concealer either.
Available from the Benefit website for £21.50.
